This is for ONE of the 45 watt 33.3 volt MADE IN the USA Ascent Flexible Solar Panel. This is a NOS (new old stock) with some cosmetic blemishes, meaning a scuff or wrinkle here and there but nothing that would affect its use and most would never see.
Ascent is well known for building military spec solar products. Plus you get a 9' 3" Plug and play h
arness to allow this kit to work with your Torqeedo Travel / Ultralight 29.6 volt electric outboard. These panels have nothing on the back so you are not confined to a glue down only install.
Velcro, glue on grommets, butyl tape or waterproof tape and Neoprene are just a few of the optional ways these panels could be attached or used.
These NOS panels have a 2009 date but that is when the cells were built and the panels were assembled in 2017 and have not been exposed to light until then. We put this kit together because the panel output is perfect for the Torqeedo's Lithium battery pack and works great in a marine environment.
This panel is Made in USA by Ascent Solar. The cells are CIGS (copper, indium, gallium, selenium) on a polyamide substrate and covered with
ETFE 280.
And unlike most CIGS they are NOT GREEN but rather a good looking mixed shade of dark gray, so they look nice were ever you mount them unlike the Green Cigs. These panels have better low light performance than a Mono or Poly type cell. Something you need to consider when operating in a Marine environment. That is just one of the reasons these panels are twice the price of the China built panels.
These USA built panels are perfect for Marine or any use where you need a quality flexible thin film 33.3 volt panel.
The solar panel plugs has been converted to weather proof connectors that will allow the use of our custom two conductor wiring harness. All added connectors are weatherproof and are ready to plug and play with your Torqeedo 29.6 volt battery .
